SACRED COW STANDS BEFORE THE FOREST - Restaurant X, Oklahoma, OK (10/16/2009)
Part 1 of 2 to launch Sacred Cow back into the wild. 10-12 Berserkers/Spectators/Exiles/Whatevers gathered at a restaurant not to be named in Oklahoma City to officially release Sacred Cow back into the wild. Friday night was the opener, where he stood before the forest, pokdering whether he should enter the dark pitch full of all manner of danger…
…now onto the show.
We started the evening with a little Meursault to help Sacred Cow unwind a little from his non-stop 10 hour sojourn from the wilds of Colorado to the bowels of hell known as OKC…

Opened and served over several hours. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of nutmeg, paraffin, yellow pears, a bit of matchstick and some wet stones. Flavors of yellow pears, apricot core, light peach notes, a dash of lemon zest and minerals. Bright acidity, medium body. Pretty clean and crisp on the palate. Kind of hard to evaluate such a young Meursault so take it with a grain of salt. (92 pts.)
