TN: Random wines so far this weekend

2006 La Croix St Georges, Pomerol This wine is very nice. Chocolate and plum fruits. Young and will age. 92 points

2004 Skewis Pinot Salgeber Chan RRV The RRV makes the best pinot in California. Bright red cherries, and underlying spices. Wonderful balance. 2004 was a fantastic vintage. Awesome. 93 points

2003 Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Spat With Chinese Food and a nice match with duck casserole with pickled radishes. Lychee, and only mild petrol notes. Never a dissappointment. 92 points

2001 Kratcher #5 This is very nice, although isn’t quite as uplifting as I remember it from release. Still, it is very good. 91 points.

I almost forgot one:

2006 DR Stephans DR II This wine is better now than it was at release. Drank from a 375. More expressive and less harsh. A good wine, but not the quality of previous efforts. 88 points.

Hey Bob, thanks for the notes and have to say I love your avatar!

Sounds very nice. I may have to hunt some of this down.

Also, I am +1 on liking the avatar!

I stuffed 6 bottles in the cellar and somehow forgot about them. I am glad I ran across them again last week.
