Tried this the outher week out in SantaBarbara:
- Palmina Subida TocaiFriulano (12.5%; HoneaVnyd; Frmtd on skins & macerated 36 days; U/U; non-SO2) SteveClifton/Lompoc 2010: Very murky/cloudy bit brownish color; rather phenolic/apple cider/resiny/yeasty some smokey/orange blossom quite exotic/complex nose; soft tangy/grapefruity quite phenolic/apple cider/yeasty somewhat earthy/smokey rather complex flavor w/ slight tannic bite; very long soft tangy/grapefruity bit tannic/bitey strong phenolic/apple cider/resiny/yeasty slight smokey/earthy complex finish; quite an exotic wine loaded w/ umami. $30.00

- I picked this up when I stopped in at the Palmina tasting room because I wanted to try it. I served it at dinner at the folks we were staying with in SantaBarbara (MollyHill’s/SequoiaGrove Mom&Dad). Because they’s never had a skin-contact white, I expected it to get a rather chilly reception. But Dave was actually quite taken by it’s exotic character and asked me to pick up 3 more btls, so he could share one w/ Molly.
