TN on 06 Myriad Cabernet and Syrah

The wines are great and the price is right (sorry to say for the times) The Cab remindes me of the 01 Paloma Merlot with the chocolate covered cherries. The Syrah is pure California with lots of raspberries and boysenberries and red and black currant. Lots of acidy make the wine lively, dare I say maybe more than for sipping. Both very, very good wines.

They had some extras after the mailing list and was happy to pick up 3 and 1 magnum.

Both Rick and Leah are delightful and this is IMO the mailing list to be on. I will actually load up on the 07’s.

Also, I decided to pass on completely on the 06 Keever…this is my stand.

I loaded up on these in pure faith so I hope they are great. I buy VERY few Napa Cabs and I’m hoping this one fits my profile which includes Karl Lawrence, Rockledge, Lamb, Forman, and Rivers-Marie.

Thanks for the notes Otto. I loved both of the 05’s but have not yet popped an 06 of either. You have me looking forward to doing so soon.

Bruce, the 06’s are a notch above the 05’s. And from Mike and Leah, the 07’s are just by far their best effort. Both of them were giddy just talking about the 07 wines. [cheers.gif]

Good notes Otto. Mryiad is on the rise, to be sure. Leah and Mike are doing a great job there, and I really look forward to the 2007’s.

As for Keever ( also Merus, Ovid, Sloan, etc), I am passing too…only 2006’s I am considering are Schrader, Scarecrow.
