My feeling is most of these bottles are opened prematurely. This bottle was somewhat eye opening for a guy that tends to focus his efforts on Champagnes from small domaine rather than large houses.

NV Laurent-Perrier Champagne Cuvée Rosé Brut - France, Champagne (12/25/2014)
From a magnum, dégorgement 2010 (January if my interpretation of the Lot number is correct). Received as a gift for our wedding in 2010.
Needs an hour to open. Drinks incredibly well. The pinot fruit shows it’s characteristics of age with fraises des bois and forest floor, a slightly musky side. There is a delightful fève tonka nutty, buttery sweetness.
The palate is fresh, full and well balanced by a bright acidity.
Superb.
