TN: N.V. Lini Lambrusco Reggiano Lini dal 1910 (Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Reggiano)

At GlassHalfull for dinner, this is a dry frizzante Rose Lambrusco. Actually a much darker red than most Roses, this is more than just frivolous! One of the coolest labels anywhere and really a treat with Ricky’s wonderful charcuterie plate. Loads of cherries and strawberries and quite dry. Lingering tart fruit finish. This is the first wine the SO and I have completely finished on our weekly Monday nights at our favorite neighborhood hangout - usually walking home with a third of a bottle. Paraphrasing Carl Spackler, “So it’s got that goin’ for it, which is nice.” 90 points just for being fun.

Riunite this ain’t. (90 pts.)

bump just so Roberto sees the 2nd ever TN for a Lambrusco on the Berserkers…

BTW, I’ll go back for a couple for Thanksgiving, retail price is I think $15ish.

Love this style of Lambrusco. Has more in common with Cru Beaujolais on the palate than what most people think of as Lambrusco. You have to fight the same sort of fight with uninitiated customers that you do with Rose, however, convincing them that there really does exist something beyond the mass market swill.
