TN: N.V. Bruno Gobillard Champagne Brut Rosé – Mlle Sophie Cuvee

  • N.V. Bruno Gobillard Champagne Brut Rosé – Mlle Sophie Cuvee - France, Champagne, Oger, Champagne (6/5/2009)
Gorgeous light salmon color. Nose is a bit closed, but shows hints of ripe fruit. On the palate, huge juicy fruits mixed with good acidity, but veering a bit over to the bitter and tart side for my palate. Excellent length and huge body. (90 pts.)

As for the wine, well made, but I prefer my Rose with a bit more fruit or spice or body. On the palate, this leans a bit too much towards the tart citrus side to me, but I wouldn’t turn down a glass and it is priced appropriately.

I thought it was nice but not special. Better wines for the money.

Thanks so much Poppy!
