TN: Mischief and Mayhem Bourgogne Rouge 2005

Color: Medium ruby with an unfiltered look about it. A little hazy in the glass. Bright color consistent to the the rim.

Nose: Red currants, baking spice and an earthy mineral scent. A little herbal note like mint. Not really a classic Pinot or Burg nose.

Palate: Red currant and strawberry fruit with bright acidity, very soft tannins and a lengthy finish. A little light in body but very pleasant.

Overall impression: This is my first experience with this project. I had access to this Bourgogne so I grabbed it out of curiosity. It seems not so Burgundian in style although it does please and sparkle. I would recommend it as it seems to be somewhere between an Oregon PN and Burgundy.

Mark = they had a single vineyard version from 05 that was pretty darn good. IIRC

Here it is…2005 Mischief and Mayhem Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Petits-Monts

Yes Tony.
When I say I grabbed this out of curiosity, I did so because I remember seeing that some of their wines got very decent scores in the Spectator. Based on this Bourgogne AC, I would expect good things from Village and 1er cru wines.
