I’m a big fan of Maume and was able to snare this off of Winebid for less than $50 a bottle. I love this bottling, and think the terroir is exceptional for only being a lieu dit.
This was shockingly deep in color, with a solid purple core right to the rim. The nose is showing plenty of herbs and mushrooms, with notes of dark berries. The palate was quite rich and well textured, with not one hint of dry tannin at all. The fruits were some what mixed together, but the acid profile and spiciness really made this a heck of a great buy. Need to find more.
