Malivoire 2008 Riesling Icewine – This organic/biodynamic Ontario icewine is brown gold in the glass having just begun to maderize. It has spritely aromas of brown sugar and fresh lemons. In the mouth, very full-bodied with a smooth texture. Luscious and complex tastes of lemon drop, buckwheat honey, green apple and a slight touch of burnt sugar which then give way to an absolutely searing acidity that helps create a finish that lingers and lingers on. An absolutely brilliant icewine and a reminder that Ontario does the best Riesling icewine in the world. Period. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
