TN: LimerickLane Zin '11...(short/boring)

The SierraVista was too quiet a wine for my leftover sausage pasta, so cracked:
1.LimerickLane Zin RRV/SonomaCnty (EG; 15.1%; www.LimerickLaneWines.com) 2011: Dark color; very strong ripe/blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/spicy/bit peppery rather dusty/OV light vanilla/toasty/oak bit licorice/pungent big fruit nose w/ no signs of alcoholic heat; soft rich/lush/ripe/blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/spicy/licorice rather dusty/OV some toasty/oak smooth flavor w/ light smooth tannins; very long ripe/blackberry/boysenberry/spicyZin/peppery light toasty/oak fairly dusty/OV slight alcoholic finish w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; an absolutely delish Zin that should go another 4-6 yrs; very fairly priced at $32.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This is the basic LL Zin. Though not as big/interesting/profound as the RockyKnoll or 1910 block, it’s a solid/good-drinking classic RRV Zin.

Thanks for the note, Tom!

I first tasted LL in December of '14, the 2012 Rocky Knoll. I was very impressed. Along with the customer service, Limerick Lane has been a standout in my book. I am happy to support the Bilbros in every way possible. After all, they brought the Marietta Old Vine Red to my little Louisiana world years ago, making many people happy!
