Good solid pinot. Good spiciness, interesting fruit and nice color and aromas. All hinting at getting “there” but never quite “there”. Quite enjoyable in any event, and I’m sad there is no more in the cellar. Very Good to Excellent.

Agree on this one. We drank a case, easy, maybe two. [cheers.gif]

I’m sad I drank all of mine long ago…

We plan on bottling the first “San Mateo” since the '06 with the '10 vintage. We really wanted to make one in '09 but we just couldn’t find the right blend of Family Farm fruit. The best wine was a blend of all the barrels from the vineyard so we had no declassified fruit. In 2010, it is clear that we have two wines and we are almost certainly going to bottle a 2010 Rhys San Mateo and offer it at a good price.

I’m down to 3 bottles of this…the wife is not happy.

I am sure she will rejoice in the 2010! News to my ears.

Just start popping some the the '08 Rhys Alpines. That will keep her her in line! newhere
