good note Tom and I largely agree. This vintage is much less forward than 09 and will reward patience far more. Ive shelved my bottles.

Cheers

Color: Garnet with a violet hue
Smell: Mineral, bing cherry, cranberry, and light floral notes
Taste: Bing cherry, cranberry, wild strawberry, and lithe mineral notes
Overall: Brilliant acidity, light body, med- fruit, moderate complexity, and a medium-long finish. This is wonderful, but I think the acidity is so brisk that it may really prosper from several years sideways. I’ll drink all my 2009’s before I check in on my last bottle of this. Outstanding (hold until 2015+)

Night two: Everything is in place…This is a CASE buy. Everything that was dialed up yesterday has started to calm down tonight. It’s brilliantly balanced tonight. I really need to find a place that still has a case or a half case of this. I think that in 5-10 years this could out-shine the 2009. Outstanding

I agree that it is a tasty wine right now, but the Kermit Lynch bottling at least saw little or no sulfur. Is it really shelf-stable enough to risk aging it?

I drank this over three days and have to say that it’s built to age…I could see this lasting 10-15 years with good storage.
