TN: Kutch 2006 Pinot Noir, RRV

14.4% alcohol. From Kanzler and La Jons vineyards in RRV. 70% destemmed.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby red. Sexy spice, red fruit and something like peach on the nose. Rasberries, spice, a little smoke on a clean palate entry. Very focused and pure. Good balance and intense, mostly red fruit flavors. Lingering aftertaste. 92 points.

This is one of those wines and winemakers that I want to support. Fortunately, Jamie makes it easy! A really fine RRV pinot.

I’m still itchin’ to try a bottle of Kutch. No dice so far, hopefully soon…especially after reading notes like this…

have 2 bottles thru the generosity of friends, none from Jaime himself yet! DW Mike?

Great stuff but just wait until you try the 07s. I desperately wanted to hang on to them but they are so tasty that all I have left is a mag of the 07 Kanzler.

Me too. I’ve already consumed 4 bottles of the 07 SC from the case I bought.
Fortunately, I’ve been able to keep my hands off the SVDs and mags… until now, at least.

Geez, guys. What’s up with that? I still have eight bottles of '06 and haven’t touched my case of 07’s yet.

Yoni…get up to Norcal, let’s put together a tasting…bring the lovely wife and let’s popped more Kutch and Seasmoke than we’ll remember…Glenn is already in!
