Another wonderful Grand Cuvée! This wine is definitely one of the more open and giving young wines that Krug has recently released. Beautiful deep fruit, nice wheat toast and some floral overtones on the nose. The palate is moderately rich and nicely balanced with good minerality and acidity. There is a nice fine mousse and a long finish. Very nice. Went perfectly with a Salmon caviar pizza!

FYI, just finished the last 1/3 of the 170eme grand cuvee. Although I said this was an early drinking version of Krug, this has not changed much at all from the first night. In fact it seems to be a bit more backward and needing some age. i am pretty sure that saving this for your daughter will be a nice choice!!
