2007 Riesling Kabinett “Wehlener Sonnenuhr”; J-J Prüm
round, poised, balanced, mouth-filling but linear and crisp to start, apples, oil, sunflower oil, sulphur and an almost pain hrillé, light toast note underneath what it still some primary fruit, nice freshness and just starting to pick up that petrolly (although it isn’t) aroma; a long subtle wine with just a touch of residual sugar. Accomplished. 17/20
Thanks for the note…I have a few on hand.
Enjoy them, they will age well as usual, but are a bit forward in comparison to usual in 07.
I love how the 2007 Mosels are showing… have been since release. JJ Prums are especially delicious. I agree about the aging, but JJP is hard to keep around.
Thanks for the note Jono… Sound yummy, and am glad have a few of them as well
Cheers
Thanks for the datapoint. 2007 WS Kabinett and GH Auslese were some of my best deals of 2011.
