TN: Hudson Vineyards 2006 Estate Carneros Chardonnay

Two bottles of this glorious, outstanding wine were found in my cellar recently, and I wondered if they were over the hill. Why did I buy the wine? A Little research turned up the the source below (and a rarely quoted but most reliable one for me). Indubitably not, the wine was a light yellow color, fresh, with pin point balance and excellent depth. Viscous on the palate but never heavy, oak seamlessly integrated, and on the nose lemongrass, tropical fruits, honeydew melon, vanilla and coconuts. At this age I suppose a Burgundy aficionado would find the wine to be lacking in acidity, but voila, with the use of a Vacuvin (which I know many on this board find useless), when I returned to this wine the following night it was much the same, but with more acids.
