Followed Saturday on the web. Thought WB went pretty high, consistently higher than high estimates which seems to be the trend of the last couple of auctions. Especially Coche, Roulot, Comtes Lafon. Le Flaive was not as bad but it is overpriced anyway. Some decent pricing on Red Burgy in 06-08 05 was expensive. Good Volnay continues to go up in price as does good NSG. Agree with Adrian that the prices on SQN have come back slightly. I saw a couple lots of Rose that had to be reopened even though they sold for stupid prices anyway. I thought the P2 struggled to meet HDH’s estimates. They put in a lot of effort in selling it as they did kissing the butts of some Brazilian buyers, anybody know what was up with that?
Interesting trend. S.A. capital flight has been a huge trend (look at Miami’s real estate boom), especially with Venezuealans and Argentines. Brazil is following foot, but I didn’t think wine would be a recipient.
