Last night the 2002 Fichet Puligny Referts was looking back at me from the wine fridge and I said what the heck.
This is a wine of terrific energy and thrust. Very Puligny, with the steely nervy persistent character I love. Aromas and flavors of lemon and green apples. Quite pale in color.
I have more of Fichets Meursault villages (Tessons, Chevalieres and Gruyaches) and he does make a nice Bourgogne Blanc, but this is really nice Puligny.
