Color: Medium ruby, clean, clear to the rim
Nose: Bright red fruit, very ripe strawberries and currants, floral aromas, a little pepper and spice
Palate: Medium intense red fruits, cassis, a little bitter tobacco note which plays nicely with the very ripe fruit, medium acidity, tannins are ripe and sweet but open and a little grainy in mouthfeel. Alcohol is not assertive which is a relief, and the finish is medium long about 20 seconds.
Overall Perception: This is such a pretty little wine and compared to some of the overkilled Grenache monsters coming out of Spain these days, it puts this grape in a much better light.
