Color: Medium ruby, clean and even color to the rim.
Nose: Red fruits, menthol, herbs, and a stoney mineral note.
Palate: Bright, bright red fruits, cassis, bush berries, the acid is prominent and laserlike but that’s a good thing…tannins are soft but a little green and there is some grip, the finish is long with a mix of fruit and tannin.
Overall perception: This wine kicks ass. It is a mix of Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, and Mourvedre, with ripeness that should please a few New World drinkers, but still is rooted in the region with it’s selection of old world fruit.
