TN: Dom.d'E Croce Vermentino Patrimonio '12..(short/boring)

Tried this over the weekend:

  1. Y Leccia Dom. d’E Croce AC: Patrimonio (Vermention; 13.5%; http://www.KermitLynch.com) Poggio d’Oletta/Corsica 2012: Med.gold color; rather stony/earthy/saline/sea brine light Vermentino/floral rather coarse nose; soft/ripe rather tangy/metallic/earthy/granatic/saline/garrigue slight floral/grapefruity/Vermentino rather coarse/rustic flavor; med.long soft rather tangy/metallic/saline/earthy/stony light floral/Vermentino/grapefruity finish; a rather tangy/metallic/stony white w/ little fruit; doesn’t hold a candle to an Idlewild or Ryme; pretty pricey but it’s a KermitLynch so expected.$28.50 (SFW&S)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. Michael @ Susan’s was pretty excited that they got this wine in last week. I thought it was pretty characteristic of many Corsican whites in that it had little fruit and lots of coarse/rustic character.
