A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. According to CecilDeLoach, the O.F.S. on the label refers to an old Navy expression “Our Finest Selection”…wink/wink…always delivered w/ a straight face. Still have a btle each of the Pelletti/Papera/Gambogi left.

I loved the OFS bottling in its youth, along with the Pelletti and Papera bottlings.

Bruce

Pelletti Vineyard, planted in 1927, still lives in the RRV as “Carlisle Vineyard.” Who knows Bruce, this 87-year old vineyard may still hold magic for you!

Mike–I know that; I’m just referring back to the old DeLoach days.

Bruce

Yup, Bruce…of course you know that. But that purchase happened long enough ago that not everyone knows that Pelletti=Carlisle.
Cecil trademarked the Pelletti name so that Mike was not able to use it on his label.
