Hi Tom, thanks for taking one for the team! [cheers.gif] I was thinking about opening one of these next week up in Sonoma but your note has changed my mind.

Tom, always look forward to your notes, especially when they are about bottles I’m sitting on. I’ll let my sixer rest for a while based on your notes.

Thanks for popping one. I’m looking forward to trying the wines from Bedrock.

Thanks for the (short/boring) TN’s.
Generally, I am not a big fan of Viognier mixed in syrah. I understand it is used to fix/enhance color. Some folks indicate that it enhances mouthfeel. To me, the floral notes of the Viognier can detract from what I want in a syrah.
Tom - Any thoughts on how the viognier add in affected the wine?

Interesting note. Tried multiple bottles over a weekend. Had the Sonoma at the same time. Then tried a couple weeks later on the same night as a
07 Groth Reserve. Thought this was drinking amazingly. Blew me away. Agree it will age, but wouldn’t be bashful on popping and drinking. Sonoma is nice too, but it could use a bit of age.

I generally don’t like syrah, but this one really is Kick Ass. Tried it before xmas as a local retailer had some bottles.
