A wee BP:
This arrived in my Prima IlConsorzio shipment ystrday, so thought I’d Pobega it. For some reason, Beckman had sorta fallen off my radar. I should revisit them.

Years ago - probably 10 or more - I visited Beckmen and really loved the wines, overall. I remember that the Beckmen visit really cemented my newfound love for that region. A few years ago, I returned to the region, and Beckmen, and after the tasting room staff started the visit on a sour note by being disinterested in their job, and rude, I found that I wasn’t as enamored with the wines anymore. I’m not sure if much has changed in the winemaking philosophies, or if my preferences had changed so much, but it always is disappointing to have lofty dreams crushed like that.
No doubt their LeBec is a great QPR - sounds like this was relatively complex, so maybe it’s worth another shot, to see if I can get back on the Beckmen bandwagon, which would make Dietz happy.
Yeah, Todd…my last experience there about 5 yrs ago to the tasting room was not so hot.
They seemed indifferent that I cared for their wines. They had a special Syrah, only for Club members, that I wanted to buy.
And not that limited of production. But they wouldn’t sell me a btl. I asked if he’d give SteveBeckman a ring for permission
to sell me one, but he said Steve wasn’t around. He obviously had no idea of my exhalted status in the World of
RhoneWines.
