N.V. André Clouet Champagne Cuvée 1911 (98/99/00) - France, Champagne, Bouzy, Champagne (6/5/2009)
Pale golden with effusive tiny bubbles. Nuts, apples, with a very slight orange/citrus note on the nose. Nice flavors of citrus and minerals – a very chalky (in a good way) wine. This is good stuff.

Greg,
Completely agree. I loved this cuvee a few years ago and for some reason forgot about it. I finally started revisting it early this year and have fallen in love again. Just plain kick butt stuff. A little sweet when fresh, but when you get this with age it just kills. Actually everything Clouet makes is wonderful, but this is an overlooked gem with a great presentation to boot. The only part that sucks is only 1,911 bottles per release
Who brings Clouet into the U.S.?
Thanks for the note. I will get to try a wine from this house for the first time Saturday.
Jim,
I’m not sure. Most of my recent purchases were made in France. The bottles I have from a couple years ago that I bought in the US say Orange Import and Distributing Company in Chicago, IL. No clue if they have a regular sole importer or what their current situation is.
