2014 was the last

I thought it was the 2015, maybe not the entire time as Charly was probably ill during the later half of 2015, but isn’t it Nadi that made the wines?

La Revue du Vin de France is reporting that the Foucaults’ Clos Rougeard (Saumur-Champigny/Saumur) has been sold to businessman Martin Bouygues, owner with his brother Olivier of Château Montrose.

The future of this small but famous Saumur estate has been uncertain since Charly Foucault died on 29th December 2015. It was known that Nady was keen to retire and Antoine Foucault, Charly’s son has his own estate – Domaine du Collier. I understand that Antoine vinified the 2016 vintage of Clos Rougeard.

So looks like Antoine handled 2015 and 2016. Interesting, I had not seen this.

Reading the opposing perspective, seems like 2015 was still pretty much the Foucault’s with Antoines’ help, but things are not 100% clear.
