TN: 27 year old sparkler

  • 1990 Billecart-Salmon Champagne Cuvée Nicolas-François Billecart - France, Champagne (6/30/2017)
    Ready to drink and won’t get better. Beautiful mature wine drifting towards the end of its prime drinking window. Mild and proper oxidative notes complement the dense collage of orchard and citrus fruit; complex spice. Good cut, and the bead is fine but remains strong. Incredibly long finish. One of the better aged champagnes I’ve enjoyed in a long time.

No surprise … that´s exactly the age I prefer my sparklers … if available …
