2024 Giaconda Chardonnay Estate Vineyard - Australia, Victoria, North East, Beechworth (8/6/2026)
Smoky mineral reduction dominates on first pour. Air unlocks all of the wine's charms. Green melon, white peach, aniseed and fig. Chewy/chalky structure. Preserved lemon saltiness and tang. So much complexity and drive. Length is imposing.

Had 2011^ poured blind Feb 2025 next to Leflaive Clavoillon 19’, and it was just stunning. My first serious Aussie chardonnay
