- 2021 Blain-Gagnard Bâtard-Montrachet - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (7/13/2024)
A spicy nose of aniseed and freshly grated ginger. There's pure white peach fruit too. It is deep and sappy, and layered with flavour. There's a high degree of elegance, but the wine possesses real latent power. The finish dives on and on. Very good.

Does anyone know if they have fixed their premox issues?
I used to love the wines, but got scared off.
Hi Scott,
this was sealed with natural cork. Wish it was Diam, as I’d love to pop a bottle or two away.
kind regards
Jeremy

Answer: nope. But they make pretty good wine if you get it early.

Have opened 2011, 2012 and 2014 BM and CBMs recently for customers and all were in good nick.
Happy birthday Jeremy!!

Happy birthday! 2021 is awfully young, so thanks for the note :)! FWIW I haven’t had premox issues with BG from 2014 onwards (just a couple of dozen sample size though).
