Well they sure as damn weren’t worth it when the ownership and name changed and the wines suddenly cost triple the previous price even if the wines had been made a few years earlier and had just that NERVI-CONTERNO label slapped on them recently.
But with rather extensive experience on the Nervi wines over seven different decades, I have pretty good picture how the wines have been. If several people whose palates I can trust have said the wines have changed relatively little and if anything, towards a style they (nor me) do not prefer, I believe I can say the price increases aren’t worth it.
But what do I know. Maybe the wines - which used to be some of my favorites in all Piedmont and Italy, especially in their price points - are now magically three times better! At least they are that much more expensive.
