- 2020 Château Clerc Milon - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac (2/15/2025)
At 54 years in, having a vintage like 2020 for Bordeaux is such an asset. And the 20 Clerc is a great representation as to why I make this statement. The few I have opened have shown a lot of pure, flat out enjoyment. But the early appeal does not come at the expense of undoing its historical DNA ala many 09’s and 10’s and they will surely age well. Neo Classic in its purest form. The 20 Clerc hits with red currant but shades of darker fruits around the edges. A little more reserved and coiled up than say the 20 d’Issan, but oh so cozy just the same. I love the balance albeit in a slightly tight package today. Excellent and well priced too at $78. (93 points)
