TN: 2019 Tan Fruit Chardonnay Tank Fruit

  • 2019 Tan Fruit Chardonnay Tank Fruit - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (6/22/2024)
Nice enough, but nothing about it caught my attention or anyone else’s. Kind of sucks when a $60 bottle of wine has almost nothing to say for itself. Half the bottle was left after we finished dinner.

Bummer. I’ve not bought or tried any of Jim’s Tan Fruit wines but I’ve historically loved his Arterberry Maresh Maresh Vineyard Chards (and Pinots).

I have tried a few of the AM wines, and they really didn’t do much for me other than one. Maybe I just don’t like his winemaking style.

Give the 19s more time in cellar or a ton of air. I recently had the 19 Dux and on day one it was pretty closed especially on the nose. Day two and three it blossomed into the best bottle of it I’ve had with generous layers of yellow fruit.
