  • 2018 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru (8/29/2026)
    This is starting to drink really well. A hint of toasty reduction to the aroma. Pure white peach and lemon fruits with a suggestion of rockmelon too. Excellent flesh through the mid. Some fennel tops and saline minerality. Fine acid cut and a sappy and long finish of good detail and chew.

18s have been showing well early. I haven’t opened much besides the Aligote and Bourgone Blanc, but this is a good data point to start popping some 18 PYCM!

I’ve really liked PYCM’s 18s. He came to Houston last fall for a Cite des Climats & Vins fundraiser and served the '18 Meursault Charmes alongside Brice de la Morandiere serving Leflaive’s '19 BBM. It more than held its own. Not a wine I’d bury in the cellar though.

It’s such a great vintage to have to keep my hands off the 17s & 19s for another couple years. The only 2018 PYCM that I’ve opened that hasn’t been great was the Santenay La Comme. Still good, but on the plush and heavy side, considering the producer.
