TN: 2018 Jean-François Ganevat Kopin

A bit weird, wild and wooly, but in some freakish way, quite an engaging thing. It smells of lantana growing next to a barn full of animals. There’s a cheesiness to the wine and some prickle from undissolved CO2. It has an apple cider like quality along with tart citrus notes. It is skinsy and tannic on the back-end. Riesling from Alsace, Chardonnay (Jura and Burgundy) and Savagnin.

hhhmmmm…you’re not convincing me!!

I don’t really want to drink another one today.

Haven’t been convinced yet by Ganevat’s négoce range. Domaine wines much better.

Somewhat ITB

I usually enjoy the Ganevat wines, but find the negoce stuff to, generally, be bad QPR.
