TN: 2018 Clarice Wine Company Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands

  • 2018 Clarice Wine Company Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (1/31/2021)
So pretty and pure. Color is electrifying bright cranberry. Nose of strawberries. Palate shows such a lighter than air in mouthfeel Pinot Noir that also shows tremendous depth a verve. Fresh picked cranberries and red raspberries envelope your tongue like a pillow. Deft and poised and elegant and fragrant all in one. This flows across your palate as if held by strings from above. Long, bright and true finish. This certainly picks up where Siduri left off and there are not enough words in the English language to explain what you feel but maybe that’s a good thing; maybe words should not convey such enjoyment. Excellent note, Mike. Without a doubt, the Clarice wines are the best Adam has ever made. I was impressed with 2017, but I think that the 2018s hit an even higher level. Just superb delineation and structure. Wines of great pleasure and also serious business.
