2017 Ultramarine Sparkling Rosé Heintz Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (7/3/2025)
LOVE the color in this...like orange tang! Reminds me of the 1997 Vilmart Grand Cellier Rubis we had a few years ago...this wine is singing with blood orange and tangerine pop rocks! Killer energy...bombs bursting in air...very apropos for tomorrow! What makes this wine is the sous bois ala Burgundy you get in this...earthy funk, with red licorice...spiced apples..strawberries n cream. Very refreshing and engagingly complex wine here...plenty structure and ripe fruit to last a long long time! I just wish I had more bottles to cellar! (94 points)
