TN: 2017 Sandlands Chenin Blanc Lodi (USA, California, Central Valley, Lodi)

  • 2017 Sandlands Chenin Blanc Lodi - USA, California, Central Valley, Lodi (3/31/2019)
Note from day 2, as day 1 was little disjointed and showing a lot of scruffy wool. I presume this is 100% Kirschenmann? Was labeled so in the 2015 vintage, but now just labeled “Lodi”? SO bright with lemon pucker, green apple skin sours, white peach, quince…classic lanolin, wax, little more funky wool showing than the 2015…and I like me some funk! Really pretty blossom florals and sea air salinity…definitely shows a firm structure of crushed minerality, decomposed granite…yet with a delicate class. Just a super summer time sipper…but with only 2 bottles offered, I might not even make it to summer! (93 pts.)

This sounds great. Thanks for sharing.
Have any of you east coasters heard anything about shipping, yet? I’m in Virginia.

Mine arrived Monday in Maryland.

Got three. Won’t make it to summer. May is in question. Great stuff.

+1 John!

Still wondering why these are labeled “Lodi” and not “Kirschenmann” like it was in 2015? I believe it’s 100% from that vineyard? Tegan?
