TN: 2017 Château Carbonnieux Blanc (France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan)

2017 Château Carbonnieux Blanc - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan (9/6/2022)
These are SO friggin good...exotic, and something "different" when it comes to the white. 60/40 SB and Semillon, brilliant yellow/green metallic color...exotic nose of grapefruit, grilled pineapple, lemon grass, lime blossom, slight petrol...refreshingly bright with zippy citrus, yet a waxy vanilla creme of smoothness...exotics of that lemon grass, lilac, lime blossom, grilled pineapple rosemary skewer, slight petrol...LOVE the florals and that waxy semillon texture...long finish of sours, grass, and minerality...should age well, as they let you know that with using a Diam 30! Really nice tasting note here. I have four bottles left of this myself. I hadn’t picked up on the Diam 30 with my previous bottles, but I won’t be taking advantage of that consideration.

Great note. Huge fan of this wine as well, been buying it since the 01 vintage. I bought 6 of the 17 and wish I’d grabbed a case.

Prices have crept up but it’s still a strong QPR given the quality.
