Ex-WineBid, to see what these wines do with a small amount of bottle age.
Garnet in the glass, tiny bit of bricking at the edge. Moderately translucent but not clear.
Nose: black tea and roses, earthy, strawberry, cherry, bit of spice, salami, orange peel.
Palate: juicy, orange peel, tea and spice, red fruit, quite elegant for the size, mid+ body, - tannin, + alc, medium finish.
Drinking very nicely, quite a change from the ‘21 which is very nice but quite primary.
Interested to know whether these are still in favor on the board. From google searches it seems like they had a moment in the sun 5-8 years ago and haven’t come up much since. Certainly in the larger style but to my palate this came across as reasonably balanced other than a bit more warmth than would be strictly ideal.
