Damn! Never expected this from an Oregon Syrah. Then again I have had maybe three, including this one. Cool, red and blue fruited, smoky, and brightly acidic, it made a deft impression of St. Joseph. Light to medium bodied, it cozied up to our black bean tacos, and made itself at home. Still relatively youthful, there’s plenty of depth for mid-term aging, though I really like it NOW!

Had this a couple of years ago and really liked it. Have another bottle somewhere, sounds like I should revisit. I believe it has some Viognier as well.
