TN: 2015 Domaine Dujac Morey St. Denis (France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis)

Terrific, at this level. Deep, dark garnet colour. Musky, perfumed bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, smokey barbequed game meats, wet peaty soil and underbrush. A little Morey funk. In the mouth, rich, juicy and fully ripe, but not overripe. Delicious sweet tannins but some serious structure across the back palate. Good fruit weight and power as a Village wine and with enough acidity to provide some freshness. Well balanced. Ideally, it could use 3-5 years in the cellar. (92 pts.)

Sounds great! I have one of these set aside to try.

These wines age really well. Unfortunately I tend to drink them while I wait for the 1er and grand crus.

I age them because I don’t know any better.

This is probably my favorite village wine year in and year out.

Very consistent. Very Morey-ish and very moreish as they say over the Pond!

Thanks for the note. Can’t wait to buy mine when they become available here.
