TN: 2014 Perkins Harter Zinfandel, 'The Weight' (Teldeschi Vineyard)

This was excellent! The Teldeschi zin/ps steal the show and the tiny bit of syrah adds interest/ intrigue. First time with this producer and I am VERY impressed. Well made and perfectly balanced. Will be looking for more!

Glad you enjoyed. I think I still have a couple cases of the 2014. Total honor to work with those Teldeschi Old Vines - I shared that block with Mike Officer/Carlisle for 4 years before I headed up to Oregon.

Absolutely loved it! Thank you for making an incredible wine!

Not sure if you’re open to selling some of that 2014 but I’d be interested! No problem at all if not but feel free to shoot me a PM if you are

Yeah, I left the 2014 and 2015s in my warehouse and stopped selling it for a couple of years when I came up to Oregon - then moved the pallets up here in 2019 and picked up with the release. I mean, the wine ages so whatever, right???

So curious to learn why the bottling is called “The Weight”.

Hey Ramon…I created this assemblage by proportional grape weights for the Old Vine Zin-Sirah-Syrah blend - so that was the initial meaning. However, the double entendre is of course the song The Weight. We’re all looking for someone or something to help us with our struggle through the human condition. If a bottle of wine can help take the load off and bring a moment of peace…well yeah…that’s the good stuff.
