that sounds pretty tasty, too. Freddy has now been making the wine since 2004.
So, Jeremy, how does it compare to the 2010?
Very similar aromatics. I think the '10 has a touch more depth and a bit more chewy tannin perhaps.
I had this with Freddy in his cellar last month. I was surprised how ripe and approachable it was. A very nice wine. This reminds me that I was going to pick up a couple bottles and hide them for a decade.
There is a mag of the 2006 local for a decent price
Anyone taste this vintage?
I would snag it…especially if you know it had good storage!
My last note on the '06 was from late 2012. I have added it below. A mag at the right price is a no brainer.
Drinking nicely and a very pretty Nuits with plump fruits and certain roundness. There are bright and sweet red cherry fruit aromas and flavours that are trimmed with a little earth and flora. It has good intensity and a touch of cherry stone flintiness. It finishes with good cut and length is admirable.
