- 2014 Domaine Huet Vouvray Sec Le Mont - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray (2/28/2026)
11 years later this is drinking very well I am happy to report. The deep bronze hues has one holding their breath for a that first sip, but this cleared the run way (no premox) and we have altitude. Hits immediately with very ripe golden delicious apples, quince, and fresh ginger. Solid acidity and the texture of glycerol sweetness, but this totally dry and very tasty. I do miss the maritime / sea mist notes of young Huet, but that is merely a personal preference. Closes on a note of copper penny, a metallic taste so to speak. What a fun wine!
