2013 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Berserkers’ Cuvée - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Chehalem Mountains (4/14/2016)
Seems to have gained some darkness in color. Nose redolent crushed cherries with hints of cranberry and orange peel. Palate shows an immense depth with just a hint to the semi-sourness I really enjoy. This has some amazing grace and poise. Tannins seems intricate and textured and acidity spot-on for where it should be. Finish is long and goes to the sour cherry leaving an almost dustiness on the tongue. Pure and precise, this is a real joy. Been a while since I checked in with this one and I am glad I did and glad I have more of the 2014 on the way as I write this.
When you think of the crazy price on this ($19) you just can’t help but smile to yourself. It’s QPR is x2 as it drinks like $40ish for sure. (92 pts.)
