TN: 2013 Domaine François Cotat (Paul & François) Sancerre Chavignol Rosé

  • 2013 Domaine François Cotat (Paul & François) Sancerre Chavignol Rosé - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre (9/15/2014)
Really crisp bright nose bursting with crunchy red fruits and cut with some mineral. It has a fresh herbal note and builds through the palate with more detail and presence than a rose generally has the right to have. It finishes with excellent precision and length is very good.

Sounds delicious. Any idea what that varietals might be?

Pinot Noir

Thanks Jeremy

Berry, the one time I had a Cotat rose it was by a good margin the best non sparkling rose I have had. # 2 pro lay is Chateau Pradeaux.

Thanks Howard. Im going to track down one for sure.

Pradeaux rocks. I found it lighter on its feet than I was expecting yet still complex. Don’t see it that often around these parts though.
