Darker straw color than I expected, but not irregularly dark. Loads of tart apples. Sharp and almost cidery. Both my wife and I thought it might be slightly oxidized. Not bad, but not up to the high expectations I had. Granted, I don’t have a ton of experience with Godello, but the few I’ve had from Valdeorras and Monterrei (quite enjoyed the Avanthia and loved the Avancia Cuvée de O) and this wasn’t those. But again, Sonoma isn’t Galicia.
Thx for the note, got 2 of these…probably gonna wait until Spring to open one.
Opened one and didn’t get apples. Rather steel-woolen, mineral-streaked pear maybe - no citrus and no tropical fruit either. Whiff of creamsicle and real length with no heat. Talk about easy to drink.
My note from a month or so ago. Not sure if our bottles were different or just different tastes or both.

2013 Bedrock Wine Co. Godello Abrente - USA, California, Napa / Sonoma, Carneros (2/21/2015)
A couple Italians, a Bedrock and one from Canada (An upscale Italian Restaurant in Cleveland): I really liked this one. Golden in color. The nose has minerals, steel, a bit of salinity and slight lemon/lime. Nice refreshing texture, slightly oily, slightly creamy. This is all about lean, sinewy minerality. Reminds me of a ripe, round Muscadet. Went very well waiting for our food and with the first courses. (91 pts.)
