TN: 2012 Harrington Chardonnay Bald Mountain Vineyard

  • 2012 Harrington Chardonnay Bald Mountain Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (10/16/2013)
Pretty nose, ripe lemon, hint of peach. Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. Lemony in the mouth with great depth and texture. Some stony, savory notes that persist through a looong finish. This is fantastic and compares to Grand Cru Chablis from a warmer vintage and some of the best Chardonnay I’ve had from the SC Mountains (Mt. Eden & Rhys). (92 pts.)

Zero oak, btw.

Awwwwww, man…Zach…will you please pipe down…there’ll be nothing for me to report on the Harrington wines. You’ll have totally scooped me.
Mine don’t ship until next week and not sure when I’ll get them tasted.
But I do know…my TN on the '13 Marzemino will be the first one…unless KenZinns scoops me on that one!!!
Tom

Well, Ken has certainly followed it from the very start.

I won’t scoop you on the 2013 Marzemino tasting note, Tom, but I have followed it since this:

This surprises me given the texture. It started on the leaner side but didn’t require much air to blossom.
