TN: 2011 Vieux Chateau Certan, Pomerol

SNAFU, for the win

Ah, never mind. You poured your glass from the second bottle before finishing the first. Let me go to the gutter and get my head out of it.

I have a left hand, and I have a right hand. Plus, I am ambidextrous. And yes, both wines were poured to enjoy!

Have you tasted any to form a decision ?

Opened one out of curiosity. My experience was similar to that of @Robert.A.Jr. It possessed all the qualities we love of Bordeaux, and in particular, of Pomerol, with a freshness and velvety-ness that belies the vintage. It is becoming clear that 2011 in the Right Bank is not to be looked over. I liked it very much, and my dad more so, but the feeling I had at the end was that there is more this wine wants to give. The tertiary flavors have just entered the chat, and I want to see how they unfurl over the next decade. Whether I have the patience to do so is another question.
